Why not repair
I can't tell you how many times It has been requested to me to repair a piece of furniture. You can’t tell that one of these chairs has a broken frame until you sit on it.
Fixing up good furniture instead of tossing it out and starting anew is a bit like keeping that quirky, yet oddly charming friend around. Sure, they might have a few quirks and imperfections, but you know they've got character. You also love them anyway.
Just like that old armchair with the funky fabric, it's got history and memories woven into its threads. Besides, you've invested time and effort in picking out furniture with good taste, so why not keep it around a little longer? It's like giving your furniture a second chance at life, and who knows, maybe one day it will thank you by becoming a vintage masterpiece. After all, good taste never really goes out of style! So I’m going to fix this chair!
First we need to fix the wobble in the legs
Pull the pins and check the frame to see the damage
Prep and glue
Add a brace to each side
Finnish up by repining the fabric
Sometimes its worth it to salvage that chair to keep the balance in your room. So i can’t tell you how much furniture i have fixed. Note that this chair has held up and keeps going today.
